For our final project on the PG Cert. Fashion & Lifestyle Journalism course, we were asked to produce in its entirety a special edition of an exisiting magazine or supplement; I chose to put together an issue of The Times Luxx Magazine, with a focus on all things kids-related in the premuim sector. The project was graded by Tamsin Blanchard, then Style Director at The Telegraph Magazine. You can read some of the feedback I recieved on the project below.
Included here is one of the pieces I produced for the project; an interview with Latasha Malik, co-owner of Tantrum Hair Salon on the Kings Road, London. If you would like to view the complete magazine, you can download a PDF copy by clicking this link >>
The work is certainly of a commissionable level...I'm very impressed. You have demonstrated a journalistic instinct for fresh angles. This was a well-designed, visually appealing supplement...that really demonstrates your range of skills and professionalism.
A thoughtful editorial...the whole supplement felt current and appropriate for the readership. Your research was very thorough...effective interviews told lively, relevant, contemporary stories.
