01. BRAND COPY

I have a strong background in product and landing page copy; be it finding new ways to describe a classic white t-shirt or capturing a label's unique aesthetic. I've got the words and confidence to engage customers, while balancing traditional narrative forms with commercial savvy. 

 

02. DIGITAL MARKETING 

Embodying the mood and catching the eye – from emails and online campaigns to social media (subject lines, homepage sells, banners, style tips, blurbs, enticing CTAs and captions), I have what it takes to speak to a discerning, global audience, finding the right words to sit alongside captivating imagery.

 

03. EDITORIAL WRITING

Whether you're after something short and snappy or you're looking for someone who's mastered the art of the long form, I'm skilled at adapting my style to suit a variety of platforms, purposes and readerships. News, reviews, trend pieces, guides, features and interviews – I've got it covered.

04. TONE OF VOICE 

I greatly appreciate the importance of branding in the written word. Whether acting as a guardian for that all-important tone of voice or creating and upholding house style guides, I'm experienced in ensuring my words are authentic and always encapsulate the essence of the brand.

 

05. PROOFING // SUB-EDITING 

Maintaining accuracy, consistency and relevance - I excel at producing clean copy, whilst ensuring my team of writers do the same. I'm also a stickler for flawless spelling, punctuation and grammar, with a keen eye for detail that rarely misses an error! 

 

06. CONTENT CREATION // CALENDER PLANNING

Having effectively supported marketing and editorial teams in planning the seasonal calendar, including generating story ideas, developing concepts/ themes for campaigns and brainstorming original ways of connecting with and retaining audiences/ increasing e-commerce sales, I can bring with me a considered approach to producing absorbing content. 

 

07. RESEARCH // INTERVIEWS

A naturally inquisitive mind means I love delving deeper into the people and stories behind the scenes, as well as being the first to discover the next big thing - helping me create content that's both current and compelling.  

 

08. EMAILS

Working within marketing teams, I've supported with email newsletters (including conceptualising, building and interpreting simple stats) using platforms like Emarsys and Mailchimp. I recognise the significance of tracking behaviour, segmenting for targeted campaigns and extracting data to improve future communications.  

 

09. SEO // GOOGLE ANALYTICS 

Since I've honed my skills largely in the digital sector, I have a solid grasp of SEO, keywords and overall best practice as well as the ability to interpret and use Google Analytics data to inform and enhance my work. I'm also comfortable taking on online content management using a CMS.

 

10. ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD

With experience in both InDesign and Photoshop, I can identify exceptional layouts, acknowledging what does and doesn't work well, whilst also knowing how to effectively edit pictures and words to fit any story perfectly.  

11. VISUAL MERCHANDISING

Although my background lies primarily in writing, a creative eye coupled with excellent brand awareness means that I'm equally well-suited to building visually appealing, commercially driven pages. 

12. LINE MANAGEMENT

I'm skilled in managing a team of writers (both in-house and remote), building vital relationships, encouraging best-in-class practices, ensuring a smooth workflow and preserving high standards and exemplary quality even when working to tight deadlines.
